Mi Bagina ("Who's in the park?") is a mobile app that helps parents coordinate spontaneous playground visits. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.

What We Collect

Information You Provide

• Account information: email address and display name (or Google account details if you sign in with Google).
• Children's information: first name, last name, and date of birth of your children. This information is provided by you as a parent or legal guardian and is used to coordinate playground visits within your groups.
• Groups and check-ins: the groups you create or join, and the playground check-ins you post.

Information Collected Automatically

• Push notification token: a device identifier used to send you notifications (e.g., when group members arrive at a playground). You can decline or disable notifications at any time.
• Analytics data: we collect data about how the app is used, including session data, screen views, and interactions. We may also record session replays to help us improve the user experience.
• Error and crash data: we collect crash reports and error information to detect and fix bugs. This includes device information (OS version, device model) and may include app state at the time of the error.
• IP address: collected by our service providers as part of normal operation. We store only hashed IP addresses for rate limiting purposes — never raw IPs.

Information We Do Not Collect

• Phone numbers
• GPS location or precise geolocation
• Photos, contacts, or other device data

How We Use Your Data

• Provide the service: show who's at the playground, manage groups, send check-in notifications to group members.
• Send notifications: alert you when group members check in, and prompt "Still there?" after extended visits.
• Improve the app: analyze usage patterns, identify bugs, and improve performance.
• Ensure security: rate-limit API requests and prevent abuse.

How We Share Your Data

With Other Users

When you check in at a playground, other members of your groups can see your children's first names and ages at that playground. You can control which co-guardians can see your check-ins through the app's visibility settings.

With Service Providers

We use third-party services for authentication, database hosting, push notifications, analytics, and error monitoring. These providers process data on our behalf and are subject to their own privacy policies.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your data if required by law or in response to valid legal requests by public authorities.

Children's Data

Mi Bagina stores children's first names, last names, and dates of birth as provided by their parents or legal guardians. Children do not use the app directly — all data is entered and managed by adult guardians.

We display children's ages (computed from date of birth) to group members during playground check-ins. Full dates of birth are never shared with other users.

When a guardian removes a child from their account, all associated data is deleted.

Data Retention

• Account data: retained while your account is active. When you delete your account, all your data (profile, children, group memberships, check-ins, and visibility settings) is permanently deleted.
• Check-ins: expired check-ins are automatically cleaned up within 24 hours.
• Inactive accounts: accounts inactive for more than 6 months require re-authentication.
• Analytics and error data: retained according to our third-party service providers' standard retention policies.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including authenticated access, encrypted connections, and server-side authorization. While no system is perfectly secure, we are committed to safeguarding your information.

Your Rights

• Delete your account: you can delete your account and all associated data from the Profile screen in the app.
• Control visibility: you can control which co-guardians can see your check-ins.
• Manage notifications: you can enable or disable push notifications through your device settings.
• Request your data: contact us to request a copy of your personal data.

International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed on servers located outside of Israel. Our service providers maintain appropriate security safeguards for international data transfers.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
